Businesswoman Titiolami Bello is among the entrepreneurs looking for investment on season 21 of Dragon’s Den.
Here we take a look at Titi, her business Ori Lifestyle — and why she felt it was necessary to set it up.
Who is Titi Bello of Ori Lifestyle?
Titiolami Bello, 45, from Hertfordshire, England, is the founder of hair health company Ori Lifestyle.
In an interview with Business Leader, she said the best piece of advice she ever received was: “Nobody is coming to save you, discover you or rescue you. Take full responsibility for you.”
Titi says she prefers to work through her lunch hour, but takes breaks when required.
The entrepreneur also believes business meetings should last no longer than half an hour as most “don’t need longer than that.”

She was shortlisted for the Retail Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
What is Ori Lifestyle?
Titi suffered significant hair loss and damage because of her over-reliance on braids, hair extensions and heat — such as using hair straighteners.

She observed that her daughter was also beginning to develop hair insecurities, so she decided to study healthy hair care practices, which subsequently transformed her and her daughter’s hair.
Noticing the improvement in the vitality of her hair, friends and other women began asking her for advice and guidance.
When the requests for help became overwhelming, Titi started offering hair coaching services, which in turn led to her founding Ori Lifestyle.
Titi says: “We use the best of science and nature to design products that meet your hair‘s needs.
“And our courses have been curated to guide, inspire, equip and motivate anyone to cultivate healthy hair practices.”
The company’s website states: “Ori Lifestyle was founded to encourage women to love and enjoy their hair.
“‘Ori’ means head in the Nigerian Yoruba language, but beyond the literal meaning, the Yoruba’s believe that everyone’s head is a powerful energy linked to one’s intuition and destiny.
“The Yoruba’s believe everyone’s Ori must be respected, revered, cared for and loved.
“Our services and products pay homage to the literal and metaphysical meaning of Ori; unique, beautiful and powerful.”
Products available from Ori Lifestyle include ÒDODO Leave-In Conditioner, which will set you back £32 for 200ml, and DÚDÚ Clarifying & Exfoliating Shampoo, which costs £15 for 200ml.
Titi is looking for investment to grow her business — let’s hope she doesn’t get brushed off.
